Diagnostic Lights

Your computer has three keyboard condition lights located above the keyboard. During normal operation, the keyboard status lights display the current status (on or off) of the Num Lock, Caps Lock, and Scroll Lock features. Diagnostic Light Codes During Mail
To troubleshoot a problem with your computer, read the sequence of the keyboard condition lights in order from left to right (Num Lock, Caps Lock, and then Scroll Lock). If the computer malfunctions the individual lights display a status of either On , Off , or Flashing .

Dell Diagnostics

When to Use the Dell Diagnostics
If y'all experience a problem with your computer, perform the checks in Lockups and Software Problems and run the Dell Diagnostics before yous contact Dell for technical assistance.

Starting the Dell Diagnostics From Your Difficult Drive

- When the DELL™ logo appears, press <F12> immediately. Select Diagnostics from the boot carte and printing <Enter>.

The estimator runs the Pre-boot System Assessment, a series of initial tests of your system lath, keyboard, display, memory, difficult drive, etc.
- During the assessment, answer any questions that appear.
- If a failure is detected, the computer stops and beeps. To stop the assessment and restart the computer, press <N>; to go on to the next test, press <Y>; to retest the component that failed, press <R>.
- If failures are detected during the Pre-kick Organization Assessment, write down the error lawmaking(s) and contact Dell.

Keyboard Problems
